The works consist of complete demolition, including asbestos removal, of the existing steel framed building including ground floor slab and foundations. All suitable materials to be crushed on site to 6f2 for later re-use by others, and all other materials to be removed from site to a licensed facility.

The site was situated within a small industrial estate, surrounded by residential properties.

The operations of the job were carried out as follows:

1. Asbestos Removal Prior to Demolition activities (licensed asbestos removal contractor)
2. Issue of Service Disconnections (Braithwaite Fit Out Ltd)
3. Erect Demarcation zones (BHD)
4. Delivery of machines (BHD)
5. Delivery of Skips(BHD)
6. Commence machine deconstruction (BHD)
7. Removal of slab and foundations (BHD)
8. Removal of Waste (BHD)
9. Demobilisation (BHD)

The works commenced on 9th November 2015 with a 5 week timescale. The works were completed within the timescale, with no accidents or incidents, and our 90% recycling rate was met.
